Northern Cyprus Road Trip pt. 3

February 14, 2010| 3 Comments

The final day of the Northern Cyprus Road Trip kicks off with seeing the sights of Famagusta, namely a whole lot of churches, some of which were damaged in the Cyprus war:

For good measure, there’s also a cannon:

We drive down to Nicosia, the capital of Northern Cyprus and park the car. The owner’s are late to arrive, so we leave the keys with the valet and head out on a sightseeing tour of Nicosia.

Looking out from the city walls.

A community housing project.

I must say you have great travel blog. Amazing pictures and so many countries visited. Thank you. It's good job. Really.

Northern Cyprus is a great place to travel. I really enjoyed my time there. Have you gotten out to Karpaz yet? Try to make time to get out there. It's worth it, although you'll need to have your own car or hitch.

Nikolas, glad you loved it, really appreciate the feedback.

Stephen, we drove to the very tip of the Karpaz peninsula, it really is a beautiful place. I can only imagine how great it is there in summer.
